NeighborWorks America Reports $2.32 Billion in Total Investment and More Than 261,000 Households Helped in Second Quarter Fiscal Year 2025
Washington, D.C. – NeighborWorks® America announced today housing and lending activities by its nationwide network of nonprofit community development organizations resulted in $2.32 billion of total investment into the creation and preservation of affordable homeownership and rental housing. Federal investment in NeighborWorks America is an efficient and effective way to deliver affordable housing dollars, with every dollar of federal appropriation multiplied 71 times on behalf of individuals and families across America.
“The consistent focus on strengthening communities through access to homeownership and rental housing for everyday families and individuals, and the efficient delivery of capital for small business development for jobs are what energizes the NeighborWorks network every day,” said NeighborWorks America President & CEO Marietta Rodriguez.
In the quarter that ended March 31, 2025, NeighborWorks and its network created and preserved affordable homeownership for more than 6,000 households. Rent increases are moderating across the country but remain high for millions of households. Amidst an array of market challenges, NeighborWorks affiliates cut through red tape to build or preserve more than 2,400 affordable apartments, ending the period with a total rental home portfolio of 213,348.
Overall, more than 261,000 individuals and families were assisted with affordable housing and essential homeownership and related counseling services in the quarter ended March 31.
NeighborWorks America will report housing investment results for the quarter ending June 30, on September 30, 2025.
