Creating homes, building America

What We Stand For

NeighborWorks America, a Congressionally chartered nonprofit and Top 100 Builder, is working alongside its network of nearly 250 community-based organizations to help 1 million people secure and sustain affordable homes between fiscal year 2025 and 2027. This bold goal represents more than a target, it reflects a national commitment to increasing access to opportunity, stability and upward mobility.

Every home built or preserved is a step toward strengthening communities, expanding resilience and ensuring that more families have a foundation to thrive. Together with our partners, we are creating more than homes, we are building financial independence, resilience and the infrastructure of the American Dream.

How We’re Creating Homes

  • Strengthening Supply: We build and preserve affordable housing for renters and homeowners alike.
  • Network Power: Local solutions with national support from nearly 250 community-based organizations.
  • Responsible Investment: Our partners trust us to deliver measurable, long-term results.
  • 1 Million Homes: Our bold commitment to housing 1 million individuals and families by 2027.
