Trailer park residents become owners, with a little help
In 2014, NeighborWorks Montana approached the Northwood Trailer Park in the city of Pablo to let them know that their community was for sale. That’s when they met Mary. Mary was a resident of Northwood who had a deep desire to improve her community. NeighborWorks Montana presented Mary, and the rest of the Northwood residents, with the opportunity to purchase the property and operate it as a resident owned community (ROC).

The small Alabama town of Phil Campbell was devastated after the April 27, 2011, tornadoes; 28 lives were lost, 300 residents were displaced, 138 homes were destroyed and 75 percent of local businesses were damaged.
