2023 Power & Influence Top 50 List
NeighborWorks America President & CEO Marietta Rodriguez has been named one of the top working executives in the nonprofit sector on The Nonprofit Times’ 2023 NPT Power & Influence Top 50 list
. The awards recognize 50 of the sector’s leaders for innovation, influence on the broader sector, and for
developing organizational models that can be replicated.
The Nonprofit Times editors selected Rodriguez for inclusion from a group of approximately 300 nominated top executives. On Sept. 14, all 50 celebrated leaders will attend the annual NPT Power & Influence Top 50 Gala at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
In the last year, under Rodriguez’s leadership, NeighborWorks America strengthened services and investment on affordable housing for households of color and low-income households. She led the organization’s support of comprehensive community development
through grants and coaching that will continue in the year ahead.
Additionally, the organization launched initiatives to promote organizational sustainability, resilience and diversity of talent. One pilot program, Advancing Leaders in Real Estate, is developing a talent pipeline of real estate professionals with a Sept. 20 graduation at NeighborWorks America’s Washington, D.C. headquarters.
“I am incredibly honored and humbled to be selected as one of The Nonprofit Times’ Power & Influence Top 50 and be in such esteemed company,” said Rodriguez. “For nearly 45 years, NeighborWorks America, through our network and programs, has helped make every community in America a place of opportunity so housing needs are equitably met and everyone has access to the resources and information that allows them to reach their goals.”
For more than two decades with NeighborWorks America, Rodriguez has shaped and expanded its homeownership programs, increased capacity, and improved technical assistance and grant management across the network and with strategic partners. She leverages her depth of industry and institutional knowledge to drive results and lead an organization that is helping every day to positively transform people’s lives through affordable homeownership, financial counseling, resident engagement and other avenues.
