ML166 What's Your Story: Communications for Action
A one-on-one with a City Councilor; a fund-raising letter; an advertising campaign to promote a service; a radio interview about your organization. No matter what the medium or the circumstance, every effective communication is based in a foundational story, a perspective or frame, which shapes your message. This workshop shows participants how to clarify and articulate their organization’s core story, built from the perspectives and values of their audiences, and use that frame to organize all communications resources to get somebody to do something. For experienced leaders and newcomers alike, this workshop demonstrates how values-based, mobilizing messages can build organization-wide clarity and strengthen alliances with other businesses, non-profits and government agencies.
