NeighborWorks America invites qualified providers of financial capability counseling and coaching to apply for a share of $31.5 million in grants to help consumers stabilize their finances, rebuild credit and establish savings

Washington, DC – NeighborWorks America announced that the application period is open beginning Jan. 19 for one-time grants to assist individuals to stabilize their finances, rebuild credit and establish savings.

Funds will be awarded to applicants with demonstrated experience in providing financial capability services to clients. Additional funds will be made available to supplement selected organizations' existing matched savings programs. The one-time grants are part of Project Reinvest, a limited and targeted program from NeighborWorks America, not related to its core grant operations.

An informational webinar to guide applicants through the process is scheduled for Jan. 25 at 3 p.m. ET. The application period closes 8 p.m. ET on March 2. Grantee awards are expected to be announced in June 2017.
