According to a NeighborWorks America survey, 93 percent of adults regard homeownership as an important part of the American dream. Unfortunately, thousands of would-be homebuyers—especially people of color and millennials—are shut out of the market because of confusion about down payments, lack of information about credit requirements and the burden of student loan debt.

Community-based approaches to battling opiod and substance abuse
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, substance abuse costs the country billions of dollars every year in crime, lost work productivity and health care. The rise in prescription opioid abuse in particular carries a high price tag, costing the United Stated about $78.5 billion dollars a year and accounting for about half of all hospital emergency department visits related to drug misuse.
