The support of foundations and private-sector corporations is essential to the NeighborWorks mission. Our partnerships help more people find the stability and security of an affordable home in a vibrant community.
Thank you to all those who make possible these achievements in housing and community development as we address today’s challenges and prepare for the opportunities ahead.
Partner of the Month
BB&T’s support of NeighborWorks’ training programs and services has increased the capacity of community development leaders to strengthen the communities they serve. Our partnership with BB&T supported our larger effort to award training certifications. In 2015, 20,500 certificates were awarded to community leaders who are working to better the lives of low- and moderate-income individuals.
BB&T has also sponsored a number of NeighborWorks events, including the NeighborWorks HomeOwnership Center Annual Forum. This event gathers more than 100 HomeOwnership Center managers to learn new strategies for enhancing their programs and expanding their reach within the communities they serve. Our HomeOwnership Centers boost homeownership among the nation’s most underserved buyers—women, minorities and families of modest means.
The work we support here at NeighborWorks America would not be possible without an exceptional network of the nation’s best community development organizations. BB&T has directly supported several NeighborWorks network organizations and greatly enhanced the impact they have in the communities they serve. These organizations include:
